Here are some of my favorite tips and tricks when it comes to making a mess in the kitchen.

Place a wooden spoon across the top of a boiling pot of pasta.
This will help prevent it from boiling over due to all of the starch in the pasta. I have no idea why this works, but it does! I do this every time.
